Our First U.S. Supporting Member: The AGree Initiative
Transparency leads to partnerships. Ag Data Transparent (ADT) shares this belief with our first U.S.-based supporting member – The AGree Initiative. The AGree Initiative includes the AGree Economic and Environmental Risk Coalition (AGree E2 Coalition) and the AGree Climate, Food, and Ag Dialogue (CFAD). AGree brings together a diverse group of food and agriculture sector experts to build the business case for conservation adoption through federal policy change, agriculture data innovation, broadening risk management options, and developing innovative financial tools.
AGree partners believe there are real opportunities to use federal agricultural policy to incentivize and scale agricultural practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve soil health, and enhance water quality while reducing farmer costs and improving profitability.
When the supporting membership category of ADT was announced, AGree stepped forward. "AGree is joining Ag Data Transparent as a supporting member because creating more transparency in the way farmer data is being collected, used, and analyzed is critical to building trusted partnerships. Farmer data should be used in a way that is clearly communicated, does not infringe on farmer privacy, and delivers actionable insights to improve the resilience and profitability of our agriculture sector," says Deborah Atwood, AGree Senior Advisor.
Thank you, AGree, for leading the way in ADT supporting membership!
