1. What categories of data does the product or service collect from me?

The product collects data related to a producer’s historical production, including investments in the crop (inputs) and the revenue generated as a result (outputs). The product also collects information concerning the type of crops produced, and those the producer intends to produce in the upcoming year. This includes basic information on cultural practices, soil zone, irrigation, etc. Finally, we collect basic information concerning wet/unseeded acres.

2. Do the ATP’s agreements address ownership of my data after my data is transferred?
Rather than focusing on ownership, Global Ag Risk believes it is more accurate to address this issue by explaining the permitted uses and rights/restrictions for using data. At various stages of the process (including the annual financial release) your consent is collected with respect to the ways in which we may collect, use and disclose your data. We will not collect, use or disclose your data except for those purposes. Further, your personal information belongs to you, and our Privacy Policy sets out how we may collect, use and disclose your personal information (and how you can withdraw your consent for our use of your personal information).

3. If the ATP contracts with other companies to provide data related services, does the ATP require these companies to adhere to the ATP’s privacy policies with me?
Global Ag Risk Solutions may transfer data that we collect or that you provide to service providers and other third parties that we use to support our business. Where we do so, we will contractually require such third parties employ appropriate security safeguards, such as following GAS’s privacy policies subject to the law in the third party jurisdiction. 4. Will the ATP obtain my consent before providing other companies with access to my data?
Our Privacy Policy explains how we may obtain your consent: (1) “by completing an application for services/products, either on your own behalf or through your broker, agent, or accountant you have provided Global Ag Risk Solutions with your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information for the Identified Purposes.” OR (2) “by voluntarily providing us with your personal information, either on your own behalf or through your broker, agent, or accountant we will interpret this as your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of such information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.”

5. After I upload data to the ATP, will it be possible to retrieve my original complete dataset in an original or equivalent format?
We are able to furnish a user with their original dataset in an equivalent form. This action is not available directly by the user and must be requested.

6. Will the ATP notify me when its agreements change?
Each year you will be required to execute a new consent to use of information and privacy notice with respect to that year’s information. Notification of changes to our Privacy Policy will not be provided, but the current version of the Privacy Policy will be made available on our website.

7. Will the ATP notify me if a breach of data security occurs that causes disclosure of my data to an outside party?

8. Upon my request, can my original dataset be deleted when my contract with the ATP terminates?
The user consents to permit the use of their data for purposes related to qualifying our portfolio of insured producers to reinsurance markets etc. in aggregate form. As such, removing the original dataset is not possible but it could be de-identified if necessary.

9. Do the ATP’s agreements establish how long my original datasets will be retained?
Your personal information will be retained by us only as long as it is needed, or to meet any legal, regulatory or tax requirements. When your personal information is no longer needed for the identified purposes, we will take the proper steps to ensure that such personal information is destroyed, erased or otherwise made anonymous (see the “Withdrawal and Retention” section of our Privacy Policy).

10. Do the ATP’s agreements address what happens to my data if the ATP is sold to another company?
We will obtain your consent to transfer of such information in the event of a sale or transfer of all or any part of the business currently operated by Global Ag Risk Solutions to a third party, on the condition that such personal information be collected, used and disclosed on the same terms as contained in the Privacy Policy
